Add a Little Adventure to the Mix

Here's one easy place to get a quick overview of my various talents & services.

Traveler, Speaker & Workshop FacilitatorTravelerSpeakerWorkshop Facilitator
Bring the possibilities of travel to life for your school or community group. The vivid slideshow and storytelling presentation from my most recent world travels has received rave reviews from audiences and professional photographers alike.

I am available to speak or be interviewed as an expert on topics ranging from around-the-world solo travel to redefining adventure for women and girls. I also offer workshops for colleges and adult education venues based on my extensive travel experience.

From internal communications for United Parcel Service, to advertising and marketing for one of the world's largest telecommunication companies, I've written it all...and done the "corporate thing." Before leaving on my most recent trip, I was happily self-employed as a successful freelance marketing writer working from my cozy home office.

My Adventurous Life newsletter highlights inspiring people and stories that encourage readers to redefine "success," break free of boundaries, and live a creative and fulfilling life. As for me, I'm currently writing a book based on my most recent travels.

Looking for reading material? I've compiled a list of a few of my favorite articles and stories for you to enjoy.

I'm an active whitewater kayaker and instructor with a penchant for steep, class V creeks. I've paddled rivers all over the east coast, but am lucky to have many of the best creeks in the U.S. right in my own backyard (the Adirondacks). I'm now moving on to tandem and solo whitewater canoeing, and am having a blast!

My partner and I spend most winter weekends ice climbing throughout New England, along with winter camping and mountaineering. We've climbed mountains ranging from 13,000 to 19,400 feet in Ecuador and Nepal, hauled sleds into Baxter State Park in Maine to mountaineer and ice climb on Katahdin, and recently returned from climbing the Liberty Ridge route on Mt Rainier as a two-person team.

Oh, and I've recently taken to sea kayaking and am now hooked -- having co-led a 90-mile wilderness trip through the Florida Everglades and paddled with Orcas in the San Juans.
